Robson Mulumbe

Rev. Robson Mulumbe is the founder and President of Empowerment International Christian Ministries. He was born in Balaka district, southern Malawi, Africa. Robson traveled to the United States to study theology in 2005. He attended Faith School of Theology in Charleston, ME where he graduated with a Diploma. He further pursued a B.A. degree in Biblical Studies at Beulah Heights University (Atlanta, GA). Upon graduation at Beulah he attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (South Hamilton, MA) where he graduated with a Masters Degree. He married Mary, the love of his life in 2014. Robson and Mary together plan on moving to Malawi end of the year 2016. Robson is an ordained minister of the gospel under the Evangelical Church Alliance International.

Mary Mulumbe

Mary L. Mulumbe is a board member of Empowerment International Christian Ministries as well as the Director of Empowerment Children Village. Mary grew up in the small town of Orient, ME. She went to Faith School of Theology and Majored in Missions. Mary has been on several foreign mission trips including six months in Mexico and The Dominican Republic, Bulgaria and Malawi. She is married to Robson Mulumbe and together they are moving to Malawi to oversee Empowerment International Christian Ministries.

Iola Hafford

Mrs. Iola Hafford is the Treasurer for Empowerment International Christian Ministries. She was born and raised in New Jersey and graduated from faith school of Theology, Charleston Campus, in 1977. Iola and her husband have been married for 36 years.  Iola and her husband owned and worked at a financial firm for at least 20 years. She has and still is financially and prayerfully supporting the work of missions locally and internationally.  Iola and her husband are members of Calvary Temple Assembly of God in East Millinocket in Maine. She is a loving mother of one.

Jim Darlack

Jim Darlack is the Secretary of Empowerment International Christian Ministries North American Board. Jim is the Library Director at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary’s Goddard Library (South Hamilton, MA). Currently, he is serving as an elder at Gloucester Assembly of God in Gloucester, MA. He is a graduate of the University of Valley Forge (BS), Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (MA), and Drexel University (MSLIS). Jim and his wife Amanda have been to Malawi, Africa twice.

Moses Ngungu

Moses is a North American Board Member for Empowerment International Christian Ministries. Moses was born and grew up in Zambia-Africa. He graduated with a diploma in Fundamental Theology from Free Gospel Bible Institute, a B.A. in Biblical Education from Beulah Heights University, and a M.Div. degree from Beulah Heights. Currently, Moses is serving as a church elder at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Snellville GA, while pursuing a Ph.D. in higher educational leadership at Regent University in Virginia. He is passionate for pastoral ministry, Christ-exalting education, and empowering leaders to use their gifts to extend God’s kingdom wherever they serve their communities. He and his wife Sarah are the proud parents of Jeremiah and Katherine.

Christine Travers

Christine Travers is the Director of Operations for Empowerment International Christian Ministries in North America. She is a graduate of St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, MN (B.S. & M.S.), Department of Communication Disorders.  Christine is a speech pathologist at Gloucester Public Schools in Gloucester Massachusetts. She is an active member of Gloucester Assembly of God serving on the missions committee.  Christine has led fundraising efforts in her community to aid children and their education in Malawi and Nepal. In 2013 she traveled to Malawi to meet with children and school leaders to learn more about the school system in Malawi.
